The meeting was chaired by Zhang Jie, Secretary of the National Technical Committee on Printing Standardization. Distinguished expert representatives from JMD, Beijing Xinhua Printing Co., Ltd., Henan Xinhua Printing Group, Heshan Elegant Printing Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Yangzhong Printing, Anhui Zhongwan Bairang Printing Co., Ltd., Shandong Linyi Xinhua Printing & Logistics Group, Beijing Lingqi Printing, and Langfang 1206 Printing Factory, among other enterprises, attended the meeting.

Zheng Bin, Chairman of JMD, warmly welcomed all participants and expressed his appreciation for the committee's recognition and trust in JMD. He stated:

"Developing national standards is a significant responsibility. This standard serves as the most authoritative regulatory basis for post-press binding in China. It should align with international standards, take into account the future requirements of digital printing, incorporate the principles of green development, energy conservation, and environmental protection, consider future trends in intelligent manufacturing, and stand the test of time."

He emphasized that these are essential requirements for establishing a high-level national standard and also represent JMD's responsibility to the industry.

During the meeting, Zhang Jie, Secretary of the National Technical Committee on Printing Standardization, provided a detailed introduction to the preliminary research conducted for the project and the technical approach adopted for the standard. This enabled the participating experts to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project's background and technical framework, laying the foundation for the development of a high-level national standard that reflects future industry trends.

Representing JMD, Liu Xia was appointed leader of the drafting team responsible for the preparation of the standard. She chaired the discussions on the detailed technical content during the meeting and will further organize experimental verification and conduct research visits to relevant enterprises in the next stage of the project.

This is not the first time JMD has participated in the development of this national standard.

More than ten years ago, JMD was invited to take the lead in developing the original Requirements for Perfect Bound Books standard, making an important contribution to the quality requirements and process specifications for perfect bound books in China at that time.

Over the past decade, perfect binding technology has undergone remarkable development, with both binding efficiency and finished book quality achieving significant improvements.

Driven by continuous technological innovation and supported by years of technical expertise and a deep understanding of industry needs, JMD has once again been invited by the National Technical Committee on Printing Standardization and appointed as the leading organization for this project to take charge of the revision of the standard.

To gain a better understanding of perfect binding processes, the participating experts also visited the JMD production workshop during the meeting. They observed several flagship products in operation, including the Superbinder-8000e Fully Intelligent Perfect Binding Line, the Cambridge-12000 Perfect Binding Line, and the Digital FoldLine 180, enabling them to put forward higher requirements for equipment operating performance, finished product quality, and safety standards.

We firmly believe that standards are not only a set of specifications, but also a force that guides the future development of the industry.

JMD will live up to the trust placed in it by fully leveraging its technological expertise in the research, development, and manufacturing of perfect binding equipment. Drawing on more than 30 years of dedicated industry experience, JMD will continue to contribute to the standardization of industry technologies and provide solid technical support for the continued advancement of the printing industry.
