Chen Ji is the team leader of the JMD Cambridge-12000 binding line at Hunan Tianwen Xinhua Printing Co., Ltd. With over 20 years of experience, he has been dedicated to post-press binding, mastering processes such as collating, milling, gluing, cutting, and stacking. His focus and professionalism have earned him numerous honors:

• First Prize in the 2020 Hunan Skill Competition - 2nd Hunan Provincial Printing Industry Vocational Skills Competition for Post-press Binding Workers, awarded the honorable title of "Hunan Provincial Technical Expert."
• First Prize in the 2020 National Industry Vocational Skills Competition - 7th National Printing Industry Vocational Skills Competition for Workers.
• Awarded "Outstanding Craftsman" by the Wangcheng Economic and Technological Development Zone Working Committee in 2021, and in the same year, awarded the honorable title of "National Technical Expert" by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.

Studious and Innovative

Chen Ji is known among his colleagues for his diligence and hard work. Regardless of his position, he strives to learn, practice his skills, and innovate. He invented the "automatic flipping" function for the book clamp assembly line, saving costs for the company while expanding its business scope. He also creatively developed a book clamp guide plate and a page feeding air regulation device for the collating machine, greatly ensuring the output of the binding machine and achieving a high production record of no less than 110,000 units per month for a consecutive month.  

It is this studious and innovative work attitude that has led the machines he manages to be designated for binding primary and secondary school textbooks, with his team setting a record of 26 consecutive product changes and adjustments on the binding line, a record that remains unbroken.

Talking about his winning experience in the 7th National Printing Industry Vocational Skills Competition for Post-press Binding, Chen Ji suggests: "Before the competition, not only focus on theoretical knowledge, but also summarize your usual practical experience, and comb through the best practical processes according to the competition rules. The competition not only tests theoretical foundations and professional skills but also mental qualities. Whoever can quickly calm down in tense moments and maintain agile thinking in a competitive atmosphere will stand out."
