Eighth National Printing Industry Vocational Skills Competition Guangdong Regional Selection for Binding Workers' Practical Competition Concludes Successfully
Gathering the best of the best, the two-day intense competition for the "Eighth National Printing Industry Vocational Skills Competition Guangdong Regional Selection for Binding Workers' Practical Competition" came to a successful conclusion on the evening of March 11, 2023. A total of 28 contestants, including 6 workers and 22 students, qualified for the national competition and will represent Guangdong Province at the "Eighth National Printing Industry Vocational Skills Competition National Finals" to be held at the Shenzhen JMD Digital Culture Industry Park later this year.
The competition, held from March 10th to 11th, was divided into worker and student groups. Each group participated in both practical and theoretical contests, fully testing the comprehensive abilities of each contestant. The practical test consisted of four modules: operation of adhesive binding machines, identification of binding processes, identification of defects in adhesive-bound products, and troubleshooting. JMD provided one Cambridge-12000 adhesive binding line for the worker group and two Superbinder-200E adhesive binding machines for the student group as practical test equipment, and arranged dedicated technical personnel to ensure the smooth and safe progress of the competition.
After the contestants' hard work and the judges' strict assessment, all the competitions ended on the afternoon of the 11th. Following the competition, the judges immediately held a summary meeting to ensure rigorous scoring and strict evaluation. The final results were announced on March 12th, with 6 workers and 22 students qualifying for the national competition, representing Guangdong Province in the "Eighth National Printing Industry Vocational Skills Competition National Finals" to be held at JMD.
Wu Chengying, a worker from Zhongshan Torch Vocational and Technical College, said, "As a printer, I have never missed the biennial industry competition. It's an opportunity to have more exchanges with peers and broaden my own development stage!" Chen Zhuoshan, a student from Shenzhen Vocational and Technical College, was overjoyed: "I am very grateful to the school for their training and cultivation, and for providing us with many opportunities like this to expand our abilities. I will definitely perform well in the upcoming national finals, striving for even better results."
This competition not only helps to cultivate and select high-skilled talents in the printing industry but also greatly promotes the construction of the printing industry talent team in Guangdong Province and even across the country. We wish the selected contestants continued success in the upcoming "Eighth National Printing Industry Vocational Skills Competition National Finals" and look forward to their achievements on the broader national final stage.
